Marc Gronich launches

Albany – A new website designed to detail what the 16-county Capital District offers in terms of Jewish life and culture has been announced.

The site,, created by Marc Gronich of Albany, who serves as publisher/editor, will feature a directory designed to serve three purposes, he said.

“The three purposes,” Gronich said, “are to encourage Jews of the greater Capital District to support local Jewish-owned businesses, to inform prospective newcomers to the area that there is a robust Jewish community, and to show people outside the region that this area support a vibrant Jewish life and culture.”

“You don’t have to do anything more than identify as being Jewish to be included on the website,” Gronich said. This website, a production of Statewide News Service, Inc., will also feature a column, News Jews Can Use, which will focus on government, politics, and community news.

“All news copy will be original content,” Gronich said.
