Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj (D – Pelham Parkway, The Bronx)

Mark discusses his reasons for wanting to move on to an open New York City Council seat after serving less than three full terms in the state Assembly. Mark says it’s not for the money, the City Council post pays almost double what the Assembly pays. Mark is the first elected official of Albanian decent in the country. We discuss the dramatic connection the Albanians have with European Jews. Mark also talks about the snag his Council opponents in the upcoming primary placed him in by trying to smear him.
