Kenny returns to The Jewish View to talk about a 200-page complaint he filed with the state Education Department against the Albany City School Board. The charge centers around school district officials did not follow proper procedures when building a new theater in a high school annex that won’t be used much longer. The focus of the complaint is that even while Kenny was president of the board, the others members held meetings regarding the funding of the theater that did not include him. The other board members encouraged Kenny to resign and when he refused, they ousted him as president when his term concluded in January 2017. Kenny says he feels ostracized and is still not invited to all meetings involving board members.
