Tony Desmond, Schoharie County Sheriff

Tony tells us about his challenges that still exist six years after flood damaged the county office building and the county jail. The fix is not coming anytime soon. We also discuss the Yellow Dot program and the Jewish community of yesteryear and the new immigrant group that is now settling in Sharon Springs. The sheriff, who is 73 years old, is a former trooper and former town supervisor of Sharon. He collects his pension from those jobs as well as his current salary of more than $83,000 a year.
